Chapter 12 homework
I want to go a bit easy here so those who are behind in the homework can catch up. Just work through the examples in chapter 12 using SPSS and the data sets from table 12.1. Make sure you report your results where appropriate.
This should be easy - all you have to do is follow along with Howell's calculations using SPSS...
If is not easy follow the pdf I put up for class today.

OK, we're a little confused about contrast coefficients. We understand that you use them when contrast between groups is important...however we don't really understand why we label the coefficients the way we do, or how to report the results....
here is a tutorial from an undergraduate stats class at UW. It is well done and is accompanied with a data set you can work through. If you want to go through the whole thing (and send me evidence of this) I'll give you extra credit.
